About
◊ KahnFluence Audio is Steve’s new company, (re-emerging after some time away from Mixing and Production). The name conveys a deep passion for the art of mixing and the “KahnFluence of Sound & Emotion”.
Working “in the box” provides the time and focus needed to translate raw tracks into deeply satisfying, emotional experiences that are not bound by traditional studio limitations.
◊ Steve Kahn is an award-winning audio engineer who has been professionally recording and mixing music & sound since 1980. Highlights of his work are etched into popular culture;
• Mtume’s "Juicy Fruit”
• "Little" Steven Van Zandt’s, “Sun City”
• The NJ Mass Choir's "I Want to Know What Love Is"
• 1988 Olympics Daily Closing Ceremonies
◊ Steve honed his craft with staff positions at world-class studios in New York including Right Track Recording and Quad Studios. As a freelance engineer he was also a regular at Author Baker’s, Shake Down Sound, Unique Recording, E.A.R.S. and Skyline, naming just a few.
